Elite’s standard residential, commercial, and industrial grade sections all have a finished side and a screw side to the section. The screws are made of 410 corrosion resistant stainless steel. The heads are coated with zinc and yellow chromate, and then painted to match the color of the fence. Most of our customers don’t mind these visible screws on the sections.
This upgraded rail is still very economical and is well worth the additional investment for those who choose not to have exposed screws. The residential grade channeled Avalanche rail measures 1” x 1-1/8” x 1”. The commercial grade channeled Avalanche rail measures 1-1/4” x 1-3/8” x 1-1/4”.
If you’re looking for “no exposed screws” in an industrial grade, Elite offers a screw-less appearance with their heavy industrial grade. This rail differentiates from Avalanche by the fact that it has an enclosed bottom making the rail look like tubing as opposed to a channel. The size of the heavy industrial rail is 1-5/8” x 1-5/8”.
