Fence Lighting for Posts, Rails and Gates

A lit fence line marks a boundary after dark, makes a gate easy to find, and adds security without floodlighting the yard. These are Aurora fixtures sized for fence posts rather than deck posts.

Post cap lights

These replace the cap on a fence post. Titan and Sirius use a classic lantern and pyramid shape, Orion and Nova are more architectural, and Iris, Saturn, Eclipse and Polaris give a softer downward glow. Aries carries four LEDs for the brightest output in the range.

Rail lights

Vega, Nebula, Phoenix and Odyssey mount on or under the rail rather than the post. They wash light down the fence line and along a path, which suits a walkway or gate approach better than a post cap alone.

Solar or wired

Solar fixtures need no trenching, which matters on a fence run far from power. Low voltage gives steadier output through winter but needs a cable run and a transformer.

What to know before you order

Measure your post before ordering, since caps are sized to fit and 4×4 and 5×5 posts take different fixtures. Count how many posts you actually want lit as well, because lighting every post is rarely the best look.

For lights on a deck or railing instead, see deck and rail lighting. Fence panels and posts are under fencing supplies.
