Description
The Vega mounts on a railing post and throws an indirect glow onto both the railing and the deck surface below. It is the same cast aluminum funnel fixture used for step lighting, positioned here to light a rail line rather than a staircase.
Sizes and finishes
Vega is 3-1/4 inches wide by 2-1/4 inches high by 1-3/4 inches deep, and the Mini-Vega is 1-3/4 inches wide by 1-3/8 inches high. Black, white and bronze, low voltage.
What the light actually does
Mounted on a rail post the Vega lights both the railing and the deck below, so it defines the edge of the deck after dark rather than lighting the middle of it. That makes it a boundary and atmosphere fixture.
Before you order
The full size Vega suits a standard 4 inch rail post; on a slimmer post the Mini keeps the proportions right. If you need genuine visibility on stairs, pair it with riser lights rather than relying on rail fixtures alone.
