Description
Riser lights mount into the vertical board between two steps, throwing light across the tread below. On a staircase this is the fixture that actually prevents falls, which is why we fit them on almost every deck we build.
What it fits
Designed for the riser boards on a TimberTech or Azek staircase. Available in bronze only.
How many you need
One riser light per step is standard on a staircase wide enough for two people to pass. On a narrow flight, lighting alternate risers gives the same safety benefit for half the fixtures and half the wiring.
Before you order
Plan riser lights before the stairs are closed in, because running cable through a finished staircase means pulling boards off. Measure the riser height too, since a very shallow riser leaves little room to recess the fitting cleanly.
