Description
Used as rail lighting, Odyssey runs a continuous strip beneath the top rail so the light appears as an unbroken line rather than a series of spots. That suits a long straight run where individual fixtures would look repetitive.
What is in the kit
Four LED strips in 18, 24, 36 or 48 inch lengths, with wire, connectors, an LED driver box with timer and a remote. The beam spreads to 120 degrees.
Planning the run
Measure the full rail length including returns around corners before choosing strip lengths. A kit is sized to a length, and joining short offcuts shows as a break in the line, so order the next length up rather than piecing two together.
Before you order
Mount the strip on the underside of the top rail so the source stays hidden and only the wash of light is visible. On a deck with both rails and stairs, run Odyssey along the rails and use a dedicated step fixture on the treads, since a continuous strip does not light a tread edge clearly.
