The Montauk™ Vinyl Semi-Private Shadow-Box Fence by Catalyst captures the timeless charm of traditional wood fencing—but with the strength, longevity, and low-maintenance benefits of vinyl.

Previously known as the Columbia, this “shadow-box” style features alternating pickets on either side of the horizontal rails, creating a neighbor-friendly look that offers privacy from most angles while still allowing for airflow and filtered light.

Available in 4′ and 6′ heights—or a 4’8″ section with a 1’4″ decorative lattice accent—Montauk gives you versatile design choices to elevate any backyard or outdoor living area. Made from durable, weather-resistant vinyl and reinforced with aluminum in the bottom rail, it’s built to perform year after year with virtually no upkeep required.

If you look at the fence perpendicular to the fence line, you will not be able to see through the fence. However, if you look at the fence from an angle, you will be able to see through it. Since the mid rail is centered in the height of the fence section, the Montauk does NOT meet swimming pool code in most Metro St. Louis municipalities.
