Each full length (8’) section begins and ends with 7/8” x 1-1/2” pickets, and alternates these narrow pickets with two 7/8” x 3” wide pickets doubled up side by side. There is a 2-5/16” spacing between the 1-1/2” and double 3” wide pickets. We offer optional 7/8” x 6” wide pickets for those who prefer that look over the appearance of the double 3” wide pickets. Although not classified by the manufacturer as a semi-private style, the Countess offers the most privacy within the contemporary classification of styles. Just like the Monarch, since the Countess has an alternating picket pattern, you may decide to choose a different style especially if you’re fence layout requires a lot of fence sections to be cut down from their standard 8’ length. There’s no guarantee that both ends of every section will be the same. The location of where the fence line needs to end will be the determining factor of whether or not the section has a symmetrical appearance.
The Countess is compliant to most Metro St. Louis swimming pool codes, and is used in a variety of residential and commercial applications. With a relatively tight picket spacing, the Countess has a proven track record in keeping most small and large dogs contained. Feel free to come by our Arnold showroom to see for yourself the Countess, along with the rest of our contemporary fence styles!
